Can anyone tell me if there are 2 cemeteries around Coal Harbor hill? Joe W. Eversole and wife Mable were buried at Jamerson according to the obit that I have from 1997. I looked at the Perry Co. website under cemeteries and found Jameson Campbell listings but did not find a Jamerson cemetery listed which is where the Eversole's are buried on the flat top of a hill around Coal Harbor. Please tell me if the spelling is correct and what you know about the Joe W. Eversole family burials???? I am working hard to find this info. as I have their obit from the Perry Co. Funeral Home from 1997. Thanks for such a great guest book site for out of state relatives.

Can you give me the phone number of your local newspaper and historical society? I am interested in gaining information on Hazard. How can I get a copy of the telephone book for Hazard and Perry County? I have really enjoyed your website and printed a copy of the ariel view of Hazard. My husband, Paul Eversole grew up in Brown's Fork and Busy, KY before leaving for OH and a better job. He graduated from Combs HS. We went to his 50th class reunion in 2002 and had a great time. The city was under a big construction program. We took pictures and are proud to have them to share with our family. Thanks for helping me if you can.

hi to all in Hazard what a superb website!! i have spent a very enjoyable couple of hours browsing the site. love the memories and tales - esp the legend of Cookie lol - such a sad difference between the photos of the main street in the 50s compared to today - it looks as if the place was really buzzing then - What would be the nearest "Big town" you would visit for a day out , or to shop? i have looked on google maps and you seem quite isolated - i live in a similar size town in South east england and can relate to the tales of yore :-) keep up the good work regards to all clive

Yes, Hazard is pretty small but you can still get almost everything you need, however, a lot of people tend to go to Lexington which is around 100 miles to the north-west. Thanks for visiting. |
