My name is Mark Combs, son of Marshall & Alma Combs of Hazard, KY. Since My childhood, Hazard has been a place I think of often. My parents married in 1947 in Hazard and currently live in Ft. Myers, Florida. Marshall was a Hazard police officer in 1948 & 1949 and went on to join the Kentucky State Police for a few years. Marshall took a job with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. from which he retired in 1985. He has many colorful and interesting stories of law enforcement that he loves to share with everyone. My mother Alma worked at Don's where she met Marshall walking the beat down Main St. and honeymooned at the Hurst Hotel.
